Tom Fitzgerald, Founder

Tom Fitzgerald is one of the pioneers of the third-party meeting planning industry. In 1979, he started Conference Hotels of New England one of the first independent hotel representative companies. As the company's clientele and hotel affiliations expanded throughout North America and the Caribbean, he changed the name of the company to Conference Hotels Unlimited.

Tom developed his hotel industry expertise as sales manager and director of sales and marketing for two well-known Cape Cod resorts. Prior to that, he worked at the Harvard Club in Boston, where he gained extensive knowledge in catering sales and event management.

Tom was one of the original members of the New England chapter of Meeting Professionals International and is a member (and twice past president) of the Hull Lions Club.

Tom graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Travel Administration. He lives in Hull, Massachusetts and is the father of two sons, who are both recent graduates of the Hospitality School at Johnson & Wales in Providence, RI. Tom is a huge fan of the Boston professional sports teams and an avid golfer.
